I feel like crawling into a cave for a spell with all that’s happening in the world, the market, and my life right now. Communing with raccoons might bring some welcome respite, though I hear they’re stingy.

I remember sitting in the apple orchard talking to a friend under a tree. A raccoon walked up to us. He didn’t stop walking toward us, just stared us in the eyes. We got unnerved and got up and walked away. Then the raccoon walked through where we were sitting and climbed up the apple tree we were sitting against.
The raccoons, they aren’t very hospitable. Getting away? That sounds pretty nice.
